This program is integrated with MySQL, one of the most commonly used databases found on any Internet server.

1) Create a MySQL account on your server
2) Add a user with dba permissions.
3) Note the host name, db name, dba user name and password.

Q. - What if I don't have a web hosting account, or what if my existing hosting account does not allow access to MySQL?

Q. - What else do I need in order to start listing my items for sale?

A. - This program is intended to suppliment your existing web site, enabling you to easily maintain your own web store listings within your site.

Although this program will run independently and function as a web site by itself, it is recommended that you, or your web developer create a custom home page and other supporting sub pages as needed, using the WebStore Lister as the core for your online store.

Our primary objective was to make this program very easy to use, without a lot of bells and whistles. We did not include the ability to create colorful backgrounds, banners, borders, and frames within the WebStore Lister Interface.

You can, however, use your existing site banner at the top of your WebStore Lister pages.

Q. - What are the limits on categories and number of listings I can offer for sale?

A. - This depends on your web hosting disk space allowance. With our hosting plan, there is no limit on the number of categories or number of listings you wish to offer.

How to use WebStore Lister

• Login to the Administration Panel
• Click on List Item
• Select category from drop down list
• Enter the item title, description & price
• Upload the item photos
• Enter optional shopping cart code
• Click submit

Q. - How does the shopping cart work?

A. - Once you have chosen a shopping cart, we will configure it for you so that you would have one line of html code to copy and paste into the shopping cart code box (see screen shots above)

Within this line of html code, you make 3 changes: Item Title, Item Price, & Shipping Price for each item you want to list. Once these entries have been made, you copy and paste the line into the text box in the lister.

This gives each of your listings an "add to cart" button. WebStore Lister is Paypal compatible.

We recommend using Mal's e-commerce cart, a full featured shopping cart program that is easy to set up and free to use.

We can help you set up an account at Mal's if you need assistance. WebStore Lister can also integrated into Paypal's shopping cart system.

Q. - Are there any known issues with the WebStore Lister program?

A. Certain UNIX-sensitive characters cannot be used in the item title area of the Cart Code. These would be the pound sign (#), the ampersand sign (&), and quotation marks (").
